I spent my childhood on Fox Island in the Puget Sound Area of Washington State, a great place to be a kid!
My first Adventure to Alaska took me to the gold rush city of Nome to, among other things, cover the end of the Iditarod.
In between stints back to Washington to take care of ailing parents I have called Alaska home off and on for the last three decades.
I recently took up running and I have entered a few 5k races. I am also a green belt in Tang-soo-Do (Korean martial art). I am a father of three. My oldest, Erin, is proudly serving aboard the USS George Washington, my other daughter, Lael, and my son Joe both live with their mom in Washington.
