Valley Radio, Q99.7 offers up to the minute local news, sports, weather and information pertinent to Valley residents, plus a very unique blend of music from the 80's, 90's & Now. Valley residents have also come to depend on our traffic and school bus reports each morning and afternoon. Check in with Valley Radio, Q99.7 for trail, snow and activity reports during the winter, and accurate and timely fishing reports during the summer.

Our Mission

The mission of Valley Radio, Q99.7 (KMBQ-FM) is to reach over 50% of all the residents of the Greater Mat-Su Borough every week of their lives with free information over the airwaves that can protect them and comfort them; music and features that can entertain them. By achieving this the advertising revenue stream will allow KMBQ to underwrite and/or sponsor a minimum of 6 community non-profit projects/groups per year that will keep the Mat-Su Valley one of the safest and most enjoyable places for families to call home.

It is also key that KMBQ is at the leading upper edge in providing a high income and benefits to it's employees to attract human resources in the top 5% as far as intellect, ethics, and integrity. KMBQ will keep a local community advisory board in place with regular meetings to insure the locally owned hometown radio station is meeting the needs of our community.
